Who says Antrim aren’t good enough for Tyrone?

Apparently Antrim weren’t good enough to beat Donegal. Apparently they’d be found out against Cavan. Apparently Tyrone is one step too many. The way things are going I wouldn’t be surprised if on July 19 Antrim are crowned Ulster champions. Pets and animals suffer in the hot summer

Now that summer is here, we should remember that animals suffer and die in hot weather.  Already, Animal Aid has had to call the police to smash the window on a car and release a dog who was sweltering inside. Other animals suffer, too. Rabbits must not be left in a hutch in the glaring sun or inside a sweltering garage or shed.  They need a cool, shady place where the air circulates, and to be able to move freely....

Even the children are playing football now

Isn’t it funny what a good football win can do for Gaelic sports in Belfast. Every night the kids in our street play soccer. They’d be dressed in their Liverpool and Man U shirts and the games would go on for hours. However, on Sunday and Monday when I looked out the window they were all decked out in GAA tops – two Antrim! – and were playing Gaelic football. We want to live in a peaceful and neutral environment too

It was with deep shock that we returned home from work yesterday afternoon to see this view from our kitchen/ dining room and bedroom windows.
