Aisling Bursaries 2009

Unique in Ireland, the Aisling Bursaries were initiated by The Andersonstown News Group in partnership with the West Belfast Partnership Board in 2000. Young people are at the heart of the changing city of Belfast and their education is key to our future prosperity. The Aisling Bursaries are a pioneering educational programme, designed to offer a helping hand to achievers embarking on further or higher education and to focus on the role of education in the city’s regeneration. Thanks to local businesses over £331,000 has been distributed to 361 worthy students in the past 9 years under the Aisling Bursaries Programme, an accomplishment that would not have been possible without the support of our business community.
